Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 August 2026

1. About These Terms

Local Laundry Lounge (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Clifton Partners Laundromats Pty Ltd, ABN 67 681 708 681, ACN 681 708 681. These terms apply to your use of our self-service laundromats, our machines and payment systems, our loyalty program, and this website including Washer Radar. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

2. Using Our Laundromats

Our stores are self-service and generally unstaffed. You operate the machines yourself, and you are responsible for choosing the machine, the cycle and the drying time that suit your load.

Please follow the instructions displayed on and around each machine, do not overload them, and supervise any children with you at all times. If something is not working, call us on 1800 512 423 rather than attempting to open, move or repair the equipment yourself.

3. What You Can and Cannot Wash

For the safety of everyone using the store, please do not put the following into our machines:

  • Items contaminated with petrol, solvents, thinners, paint, oil, wax or any other flammable substance. These are a genuine fire risk in a commercial dryer.
  • Items contaminated with chemicals, biological or hazardous material.
  • Items with loose hardware, sharp objects or anything likely to damage a drum.
  • Pet bedding, blankets and similar items, except in machines specifically designated for them. Our Maiden Gully store has a dedicated combo washer and dryer for this.

If a machine is damaged as a result of something being washed against these terms, we may seek to recover the cost of repair.

4. Your Belongings

Please check pockets before washing and take your laundry with you when you leave. We recommend you do not leave a load unattended for long periods.

Items left behind are held as lost property where we find them, and we will do what we reasonably can to return them if you contact us. We cannot guarantee that unattended or forgotten items will still be there. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law — see section 11.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed on each machine, at the kiosk, and on our pricing page. We accept cash, credit card, debit card, contactless and QR payments, and we do not apply a card surcharge. No account or app is required to wash and dry.

We may change prices from time to time. The price shown at the machine at the time you pay is the price that applies.

6. Refunds and Machine Faults

If a machine takes payment and does not start, call us immediately and we can usually start it remotely while you are still in the store. Where a duplicate payment has gone through we can issue wallet credit or refund the card used. We cannot process cash refunds. Full detail, including what information helps us find a transaction, is on our refunds page.

7. Loyalty Program and Promotions

Our loyalty program offers member discounts and bonus credit on wallet top-ups. Wallet credit and promotional credit are not cash, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not transferable. Promotions run for the period stated and may be varied or withdrawn at any time. Current offers are listed on our offers page and in store.

8. Washer Radar

Washer Radar shows the live status of machines in our open stores. It is provided in good faith and as a convenience. Status can lag, and the service can be unavailable during maintenance or a network outage, so please treat it as a good indication rather than a guarantee that a particular machine will be free when you arrive.

9. CCTV and Site Safety

Where CCTV is in operation at a store it is signed at the entrance, and any footage is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please report any spill, breakage or safety hazard to us on 1800 512 423 so we can deal with it.

10. This Website

The Local Laundry Lounge name, logo and branding are our property and may not be used without our permission. Our published written content may be quoted, cited, summarised and indexed with attribution, on the terms set out in llms.txt and robots.txt. Please do not use this website in a way that interferes with it or with anyone else's use of it.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under that law where to do so would be unlawful.

12. Liability

Subject to section 11, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. We are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
